Nine Mile Metals Mobilizes California Lake VMS Drill Program and Introduces New Targeting Technology, Bathurst Mining Camp, New Brunswick
VANCOUVER, B.C. – Thursday November 16, 2023, NINE MILE METALS LTD. (CSE: NINE, OTCQB: VMSXF, FSE: KQ9) (the “Company” or “Nine Mile”), is pleased to announce that it has initiated its California Lake VMS Drill Program. Les Forages Chapais from Sussex, N.B. (”Chapais”) has been engaged to drill these high priority targets beginning with Target #10 Drillhole CL-23-10-01, as displayed in Figure 1 below. Over the past year, our geophysical technical advisors, EarthEx Geophysical Solutions (“EarthEx”), and our newest Technology partner, Earth Sciences Services Corp (“ESSCO”) have both independently identified our Western Portfolio Targets as shown below. Initially, EarthEx reprocessed the legacy MegaTEM data with their proprietary technology, highlighting the Late Time Conductive Electromagnetic responses and defining the Strong – Medium and Lower Priority conductive axes (Figure 1). Both, individual targets and target trends were identified. ESSCO identified the sub surface 3D density targets consistent with existing Bathurst Mining Camp VMS deposits as baseline models for their technology processes. Approximately 4 months ago, ESSCO approached Nine Mile and introduced their proprietary technology (Acoustic EM) to Nine Mile. This technology was developed as a regional screening tool to facilitate targeting within large, known productive mineralized camps such as the Bathurst Mining Camp (“BMC”). Utilizing a fixed wing passive EM system, ESSCO independently flew the BMC with their proprietary system in order to model the Brunswick #12 and search for similar areas. The results of the regional testing returned only a few target regions which fit the size and scope parameters of the Brunswick #12 deposit model, the largest priority target being #10 along the California Lake West VMS Trend. Once identified and in coordination with Nine Mile, further on-site data collection was undertaken to facilitate 3D modeling. The first stage was ground level follow up utilizing Acoustic-Transponder reference stations and a local scale drone supported (Acoustic-EM) survey to outline the targets acoustic density isoshells. Further refinement of the data defines the internal density structure which, in the case of California Lake Target #10, revealed five (5) independent Lenses, the target density component integrating multiple data streams in addition to both conductivity and resistivity (Figure 2). Patrick J. Cruickshank, CEO & Director stated, “We have assembled the best leading technologies for exploration of VMS in the BMC. We are encouraged that our geophysical modeling and partners have identified the same priority targets on California Lake and the Wedge Projects independently. Having our Technical Team locate size and scale targets with the parameters of the BMC deposit model is encouraging. ESSCO has developed their technology based on Magnetotelluric methods utilized in hydrocarbon exploration (i.e., EXXON, MOBIL), integrating their own proprietary technology and processes to define density targets. They used the famous Brunswick #12 deposit as their baseline for locating additional potential deposits. This compilation of targets supported by different technologies using different processes and algorithms has moved our exploration program leaps forward. ESSCO’s technology is scalable, and we are testing the largest target in the western portfolio on the favourable horizon, the targeting further supported by the geology, soils, and sampling. We are prioritizing CL-23-10-01 to utilize our previously announced NB JMAP Grant that must be completed this calendar year. We look forward to announcing results in the coming weeks. Our recent land acquisitions have made it possible to finalize our technology targeting process on our entire Nine Mile Metals portfolio. We have our exploration roadmap for years to come.” The Chapais drilling team has 99 years of combined experience since 1966 and in the past 56 years, Chapais has successfully completed surface and underground drill programs at the Brunswick #12, Brunswick #6, Heath Steele, and the Caribou deposits. They have specific BMC style VMS expertise in addition to experience drilling deep holes in difficult terrain. We look forward to their technical execution for this deep hole utilizing their skid mount drill rig with Hex Casing and Reflex Gyro technology to keep the hole on track. Chapais also integrates Starlink Satellite Internet technology at their rig providing instant drill hole monitoring and metrics in real time. As shown above (Figures 3, 4 and 5), the data processing by ESSCO is unique and incorporates acoustic waveform data in their density modeling. Acoustic waveform data has previously been regarded as noise in the dataset however ESSCO has developed their unique data capture while AI processing converts both the conventionally captured and new technology captured data into both a lithology and mineralization density isoshell model. Further processing by ESSCO provides drill collar information to optimally test these priority targets. Nine Mile will test this technology with drill hole CL-23-10-1. Drilled at an azimuth of 205 degrees and a dip of -73 degrees, the top of the target is 705 meters while the total depth may extend to 1,000 meters (Figure 6). Nine Mile Metals Receives Final Water Baseline Water and Sediments Certified Lab Analysis Report From GEMTEC and Finalizes Engineer Site Plan Analysis
VANCOUVER, B.C. – Tuesday November 7th, 2023 – NINE MILE METALS LTD. (CSE: NINE, OTCQB: VMSXF, FSE: KQ9) (the “Company” or “Nine Mile”), is pleased to announce that it has received the completed “Nine Mile Brook Lens Bulk Sample Water Baseline Results and Final Report” from GEMTEC Consulting Engineers and Scientists Limited (“GEMTEC”) for the Nine Mile Brook Lens Bulk Sample Project (the “Project”) and is completing the Engineering Site plan this week. GEMTEC has delivered Nine Mile Metals its Final Report complete with the Baseline Water & Sediments Lab Certified Results to act as the Project’s baseline levels for its upcoming Bulk Sample Project. Per the Province of New Brunswick Department of Natural Resource and Energy Development Minerals and Petroleum Development Branch’s “Guide to the Development of a Mining and Reclamation Plan” document, the results will be forwarded to the NB DEM to provide the baseline surface water chemistry data, and baseline metal concentrations in sediment samples collected from watercourses that may be impacted by the development or operation of the Project. Gemtec’s Engineering Team will be conducting its final site visit today with its UAV drone to complete Lidar mapping and site design analysis. The Final Engineering Site Plan is expected to be received next week. Nine Mile Metals will submit its Bulk Sample Permit filing next week once the Engineering Site Plan is received. Nine Mile Metals has selected and contacted the necessary Vendors for the execution of the Bulk Sample Program. We are in the process of receiving quotes for the program from highly experienced Bathurst Mining Camp Bulk Sample Excavation partners. Nine Mile expects to have cost analysis and vendor availability of the Bulk Sample Project summarized within a week of distributing the Final Engineering Site Plan and is optimistic of commencing the excavation during the 1st quarter of 2024. Recap of Water Sampling Project Analysis: The surface water samples were sent to RPC Science and Engineering (“RPC”) in Fredericton, NB, for analysis of general chemistry, total suspended solids, total metals, as well as dissolved manganese, zinc, organic carbon, and petroleum hydrocarbons. The sediment samples were also sent for analysis, specifically for available metals and petroleum hydrocarbons (see Figures 2, 3, 4). Field water quality parameters, including conductivity, dissolved oxygen, pH, and temperature, were measured using a multiparameter water quality meter. Proper QA/QC protocols were followed, which included submitting two duplicate samples for laboratory analyses—namely, one surface water sample and one sediment sample. In addition to surface water sampling, flow measurements were recorded at each of the 6 sampling sites (3 – 5 points along a transect perpendicular to the flow at each sampling site) using a Marsh M2000 Flo-Mate device. This allows for the calculation of watercourse discharge rates, volume, and speed. The locations were selected based on 1:50,000 topo map drainage, and cover Nine Mile Brook, Boucher Brook, and a tributary to Nine Mile Brook located south of the Project. Sample locations were chosen to represent both upgradient and downgradient areas to provide reference data as the Project progresses. Patrick J. Cruickshank, CEO and Director, stated, “We are extremely pleased to announce the continued evolution of our Nine Mile Brook Bulk Sample Project in Bathurst. Now that we have received the Baseline Certified Lab Results and Final Report, Gemtec’s expert design team can now develop our site plan, the design to be environmentally friendly with a minimal footprint that also delivers the optimal excavation process with a restoration design model for the Nine Mile Brook claim area. Nine Mile Metals has selected its vendors of choice for the site plan excavation and processing stages. The Vendors are experienced specialists from the Bathurst Mining Camp with decades of experience in Bulk Sampling Projects and trenching. We look forward to announcing the design plan and permit filing later this month to the NB DEM. This is a major step for Nine Mile in its exploration programs in their eastern Camp Portfolio.” The disclosure of technical information in this news release has been prepared in accordance with Canadian regulatory requirements as set out in National Instrument 43-101 – Standards of Disclosure for Mineral Projects (“NI 43-101”) and reviewed and approved by Gary Lohman, B.Sc., P. Warm regards, Patrick Cruickshank, CEO and Director, Nine Mile Metals Ltd.
NINE MILE METALS TO DRILL THE WEDGE PROJECT, BATHURST MINING CAMP, NEW BRUNSWICK
VANCOUVER, B.C. – Thursday October 26, 2023, NINE MILE METALS LTD. (CSE: NINE, OTCQB: VMSXF, FSE: KQ9) (the “Company” or “Nine Mile”), is pleased to announce that it has received all necessary drill permits on its Wedge Project southwest of the Brunswick #12 Mine. Lantech Drilling has been engaged to drill these high priority targets once it completes the current hole at Nine Mile Brook. The Lantech track mount rig mobilizes this upcoming Monday after a required break during the NB Hunting season for the past 3 weeks. The Company has identified nine (9) high priority target areas in our western camp portfolio, the recently acquired Wedge Project, which is located 20 kilometers southwest of the Brunswick #12 mine. In addition to the historic Wedge Mine, the Cominco Wedge Mine Extension (never drill tested), the newly acquired Wedge North Target, which completes the California Lake East Trend), West Wedge and Tribag (representing a 4.5kms VMS Trend) and Lower 44 Mile Brook targets. Discovered in 1956, the Wedge Mine is located at the northern terminus of a strong magnetic linear (Figure 1). Between 1962 and 1968, the mine produced 1.503MT grading (2.88% Cu, 0.65% Pb, 1.81% Zn, 20.6 g/t Ag). McCutcheon et al (2005) stated a historical measured resource of 545,200T* (1.75% Cu, 1.71% Pb & 5.21% Zn) to a depth of 274 meters. To the northwest, both the West Wedge and Tribag lie along the west flank of a similar magnetic anomaly near parallel to the one at the Wedge. At Tribag, trenching by Slam Exploration Ltd. in 2017 identified massive to strongly disseminated Pb / Zn mineralization. At the West Wedge, previous drilling intersected 12.8% zinc, 5.35% lead, 0.78% copper, 70.6 g/tonne silver and 1.30 g/t gold over 3.8m. The mineralization at both the West Wedge and Tribag occur within the sediments and volcanics of the Spruce Lake Formation of the California Lake Group. “With previous drilling focused on known occurrences, the VMS mineralization at the Wedge Project has considerable room for expansion. The favourable horizon is over 5 kilometers in length defined by anomalous base metal soil geochemistry and coincident zones of conductivity. We look forward to testing these high priority targets,” stated Gary Lohman, B.Sc., PGO, VP Exploration and Director. Figure 1: above, displays the newly identified (9) VMS priority targets. Canoe South Target Our strategic acquisitions have now secured that Nine Mile owns the entire California East VMS Trend (targets 6 & 8). We believe the acquisition of claims over target (6) completes the strike extension of the mineralization intersected in the 8 highly successful California Drill hole results of 2022. The California East VMS Trend is approximately 3kms in length along a parallel trend to the rocks hosting the Canoe Landing Lake Deposit to the east (33.8MT Deposit). Target (2) is the Wedge Mine Extension that was identified and scheduled to drill by Cominco but never commenced. The original Wedge Mine cross-section of the deposit is displayed below in Figure 2:, the deposit is open at depth and along strike. We look forward to testing the historic mine and intersecting the high-grade mineralization we have previously released. The entire Wedge VMS Trend has been identified by EarthEx and their proprietary re-processing algorithm technology. The trend is 5kms in length. Patrick J Cruickshank, CEO & Director stated, “Our strategic acquisitions now allow us to execute our exploration program without limitations. We now own the entire California East and Wedge VMS Trends. We are excited to test these high priority targets identified by our (3) technology systems and now that the Hunting season break is over, we are ready to get back to our Fall Drill Program. We will also test the Wedge Mine at depth and along trend “the Cominco Extension” that Cominco identified and scheduled to drill but never executed. We are highly encouraged by our Wedge Ore assays representing high grade Copper up to 29% and Lead-Zinc up to 41% previously reported. We continue to evaluate new technologies in the exploration space, the BMC has only 1% outcrop and 99% is subsurface hidden vertical deposits. Every 20 years a new technology causes the discovery of many new deposits. Our technical team of professionals including EarthEx and our AI partner, are working to uncover the next signature for exploration successes in the BMC. As you can see in Figure 1, EarthEx proprietary technology has clearly identified the existing Canoe Landing Lake & The Wedge Deposits in their processes and we are highly encouraged to test their newly identified targets. We look forward to our next news release sharing our progress. September Newsletter
From the Desk of Patrick Cruickshank, CEO & Director Dear Shareholders and Partners, As we progress into October, I’m excited to recap some pivotal milestones that occurred in September that were critical in allowing us to shape our road map for the months to come. This includes two successful acquisitions of strategic land claims, as well as the commencement of our Bulk Sample Project. September Highlights: Strategic Land Acquisitions: September was characterized by our foresight and determination to extend our reach. We successfully expanded our land package with an acquisition of over 15 Sq Kms of claims strategically nestled next to our California Lake and Nine Mile Brooks VMS Projects. This move is not merely about expansion, but is integral to our mission, ensuring we have claims to the potential deposits we anticipate discovering. Learn more about the specifics of these acquisitions through the following news releases: September 7, 2023 Announcement – Acquisition of 10.78 Sq Kms of Strategic Claims Adjacent to California Lake and Nine Mile Brook September 19, 2023 Announcement – Acquisition of 5.06 Sq Kms of Strategic Claims Adjacent to California Lake Watch the clip below to learn more about the significance of these acquisitions: Nine Mile Metals CEO, Patrick Cruickshank, Shares Update on Significance of 09/19/23 News Release Commencement of the Bulk Sample Project: Our collaboration with GEMTEC advanced significantly with the completion of the baseline sampling at Nine Mile Brook. This marks the onset of our Bulk Sample Project. With GEMTEC’s draft for the excavation plan on the horizon, we’re keenly awaiting details about the maximum sample size for our subsequent direct bulk shipment to the chosen smelter. We’re evaluating potential smelters with RPC Fredericton and are in the process of finalizing our excavation mining partner from bids we’ve received. You can explore the details of this move in our official press release, and learn about the significance of this advancement in the interview below: Nine Mile’s CEO Discusses the Engagement of GEMTEC and the Imminent Plans for the Bulk Sample October Foresight: With excavation plans underway and smelters under review, we’re excited for the start of the winter season. The frigid conditions of winter are optimal for us advancing our Bulk Project due to the frozen state of the creek. This allows for clean, efficient, and environmentally friendly excavation efforts, minimizing our costs and environmental impact. We look forward to continuing to provide stakeholders with valuable updates as we progress in our exploration efforts. One initiative I’m personally thrilled about is enhancing our communication with you through CEO interviews post each news release. The past month has been a testament to its value, offering a comprehensive overview of our endeavors and their impact on our shareholders. To stay abreast with these updates and more, follow us on our YouTube, Twitter, and LinkedIn platforms. In wrapping up, September was indeed monumental, laying a solid foundation for our future plans. As always, your loyalty and support propel our efforts, and together, we journey towards new horizons in Critical Minerals Exploration. Warmly, Patrick Cruickshank CEO & Director Nine Mile Metals Ltd.
Nine Mile Metals Engages Gemtec and Completes Nine Mile Brook Lens Bulk Sample Baseline Sampling
VANCOUVER, B.C. – Thursday September 28, 2023 – NINE MILE METALS LTD. (CSE: NINE, OTCQB: VMSXF, FSE: KQ9) (the “Company” or “Nine Mile”), is pleased to announce the engagement of GEMTEC Consulting Engineers and Scientists Limited (“GEMTEC”) and the completion of their site visit and baseline water, trace metals and flow sampling program for the Nine Mile Brook Lens Bulk Sample Project (the “Project”). GEMTEC completed the water, sediment, and flow sampling program on September 8, 2023, in support of the Project. Per the Province of New Brunswick Department of Natural Resource and Energy Development Minerals and Petroleum Development Branch’s “Guide to the Development of a Mining and Reclamation Plan” document, the program will aim to provide the baseline surface water chemistry data, and baseline metal concentrations in sediment samples collected from watercourses that may be impacted by the development or operation of the Project. A total of six surface water and six sediment samples were collected (see attached Figure 1 for approximate locations) for laboratory analysis. The surface water samples were submitted to RPC Science and Engineering (“RPC”) in Fredericton, NB, for analysis of general chemistry, total suspended solids, total metals, as well as dissolved manganese, zinc, organic carbon, and petroleum hydrocarbons. The sediment samples were also sent for analysis, specifically for available metals and petroleum hydrocarbons (see Figures 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7). In addition to surface water sampling, flow measurements were recorded at each of the 6 sampling sites (3 – 5 points along a transect perpendicular to the flow at each sampling site) using a Marsh M2000 Flo-Mate device (Figure 8). Patrick J. Cruickshank, CEO and Director, stated, “We are pleased to advance our Nine Mile Brook Lens bulk sample program to the next level. GEMTEC has been on-site and is designing the excavation plan in the next 2 weeks. We look forward to receiving these sample results from the Labs at RPC in Fredericton. Once we receive the site development plan, we will know the maximum bulk sample size we can excavate and send as a direct bulk shipment to our chosen smelter. RPC Fredericton is evaluating 5 smelters that could process our high-grade ore. We are currently receiving bids from several excavation mining companies in the NB area and look forward to announcing the vendor of choice. With our high ore grade and current mineral rock values, this is a significant windfall for Nine Mile, and we’re looking forward to our next update.” Nine Mile Metals VP Exploration and Director, Gary Lohman, B.Sc., Geo., stated that, “Establishing baseline water and sediment chemistry is the critical first step in the Project. The next steps for GEMTEC are to deliver the Engineering Site Excavation Plans shortly after the sample test results. With the assistance of both GEMTEC and RPC, the Company anticipates the process to proceed will be smooth with minimal delays.” The disclosure of technical information in this news release has been prepared in accordance with Canadian regulatory requirements as set out in National Instrument 43-101 – Standards of Disclosure for Mineral Projects (“NI 43-101”) and reviewed and approved by Gary Lohman, B.Sc., P.
